#R1# Hamalainen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ahearn wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Hamalainen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Horrible takedown attempt by Hamalainen or perhaps it was just good defense by Ahearn, which made it look bad. Ahearn getting the better of the striking in that exchange.#CUT# It looks like Konsti Hamalainen has been cut. Ahearn stuffs the takedown. James Ahearn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Konsti Hamalainen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ahearn works Hamalainen's body with a nice hook. Ahearn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hamalainens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Ahearn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ahearn stuns Hamalainen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Hamalainen looks winded!#T1# Ahearn with a body punch. A glancing blow. Ahearn lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hamalainen at a distance.
Ahearn digs a good body shot into Hamalainen's ribs. Ahearn cracks Hamalainen with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Hamalainen falls to his knees and Ahearn doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Ahearn! In his post fight interview, James Ahearn started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

#R1# Henry tries to clinch up but Hamalainen circles away and keeps his distance. Henry tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. #CL2# Hamalainen has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hamalainen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Henry up against the cage. Henry tries to land a knee to the head but Hamalainen blocks with his arms.
#TD2# Hamalainen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Henry clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!#SUB2# Hamalainen has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Hamalainen biding his time, looking for the opening.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#SUB2# Hamalainen working for a choke but Henry is defending well. Henry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Hamalainen is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#T1##SUB2# Hamalainen is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Henry is tapping out! This one is all over!
