McDonald misses with a takedown attempt and Jackson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jackson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Jackson scores with a shot to the body.

#R1# McDonald stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Cathaway. McDonald darts in looking for a takedown but Cathaway gets double underhooks and turns McDonald into the cage. McDonald shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cathaway counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cathaway lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
McDonald is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cathaway. McDonald has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. McDonald tries to clinch up. McDonald shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cathaway pinned against the cage. Cathaway gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jimmy Cathaway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David McDonald. McDonald just misses with a punch to the body.

Reaves must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Reaves postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Reaves trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. McDonald controlling Reaves's posture. and McDonald counters with a left and a right that stings Sanna. Sanna looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Sanna throws a nice looking combination but McDonald bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. McDonald shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanna but Sanna pushes him off and we're back to square one. A combination from Sanna does no damage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sanna chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sanna will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

McDonald has been working on his boxing with his coaches at All Star Performance Institute in the buildup to the fight. Rumper cracks McDonald with an open hand slap. McDonald takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Rumper throws a body punch but McDonald moves out of range. Rumper cracks McDonald with an open hand slap. McDonald fails with a takedown attempt. McDonald is looking to clinch but Rumper is avoiding it.
McDonald fails in his attempt to clinch. Rumper slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.#ROC2# McDonald is rocked! Rumper is looking for an opening here.
