#R1# Shomer ducks under a wild hook from Fedor.#CL2# Fedor tries to keep at a distance but Shomer has taken the fight into the clinch. Fedor throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Shomer jumps guard but Fedor turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Fedor prevents the takedown attempt.
Fedor is trying to break free. Shomer is trying to pull guard but Fedor has him pressed against the cage. Andrei Fedor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nizar Shomer.#BC2# Shomer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fedor pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Nice takedown defense from Fedor. No joy for Shomer on that attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fedor scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Shomer tries to clinch but Fedor is having none of it. It looked like Fedor was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Fedor scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shomer closes the distance but Fedor moves to the side and Fedor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.#ROC# Shomer is rocked!#T1# Shomer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fedor but Fedor pushes him off and we're back to square one. Fedor misses with a series of wild punches.
Shomer with the counter takedown but Fedor avoids it easily. Shomer is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Fedor moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andrei Fedor!
