#R1# Sloan tries to close the distance and clinch but Assuncao swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sloan tries to clinch up but Assuncao circles away and keeps his distance. Assuncao tries to counter by closing the distance.#TD2# Assuncao gets the takedown into side control. Assuncao is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Sloan's shoulder. That is not cool. Sloan wants to get back to his feet but Assuncao drags him back down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Assuncao controls the position. Sloan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Assuncao fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Assuncao is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Sloan tries to improve position but can't. #T1# You can see the frustration on Sloan's face as Assuncao controls the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. It looks like Assuncao might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.#SUB2# Assuncao is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sloan is trying to escape and Assuncao transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sloan is forced to tap! Nice work there by Assuncao! Very nice indeed!

#R1##TD2# Rogina shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Rogina is thwarting Sloan's attempts to control the position. Rogina performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rogina trying to mount his opponent but Sloan defends it. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sloan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rogina wants to free his trapped foot but Sloan is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sloan trying to hold on to Rogina's head to control him but Rogina postures up.
Sloan pushes Rogina off looking to stand but Rogina dives back in and keeps control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloan preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Rogina working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #SU2# Rogina decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. #T1##TD2# Rogina gets the takedown into side control. Sloan manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sloan is on queer street and Rogina is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!

McGregor takes a step backwards and waves Sloan back to his feet - he wants the finish!#ROC2# Sloan is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Lino Sloan has been cut. McGregor looks for a left high kick but can't connect. McGregor backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Sloan's temple! It sends Sloan violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as McGregor celebrates and the doctors try to help Sloan!

#R1# Sloan tries to clinch up but Alvez circles away and keeps his distance. Sloan has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.#CUT2# It looks like Lino Sloan has been cut. Alvez misses with a two punch combination.
Alvez throws a lazy head kick and Sloan counters with a one-two to the body. #TD2# Alvez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Alvez won't allow Sloan to get back to his feet. Sloan is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Alvez dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sloan can't do much from the bottom here. Sloan tries to get back to half guard but can't.#SU2# Alvez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sloan to his feet. #TD2# Alvez closes the distance looking for a takedown. Sloan stuffs it but Alvez still has hold of him. Alvez picks Sloan up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Alvez slams Sloan to the floor and that's really hurt Sloan - he doesn't know where he is! Alvez throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

#R1##TD2# Lacerda closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sloan to the mat! Sloan manages to get full guard. Lacerda stopping the sweep attempt from Sloan. Sloan wants to get back to his feet but Lacerda is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lacerda won't allow Sloan to sweep him here. Lacerda seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Sloan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lacerda's guard. #REVR# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lacerda looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lacerda is pulling down on Sloan's head. It's preventing any offense from Sloan, at least for the moment.#SUB2# Lacerda is looking for a guillotine. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to David Lacerda. Well Lacerda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Sloan is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Sloan can't do much from the bottom here. Sloan is looking to regain half guard here but Alves keeps moving and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sloan is trying to control Alves's posture but Alves avoids it. #T1##ES# Sloan sneaks out the side door and pushes Alves away - he's back to his feet.
