Gordon shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gordon attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Johnson connects with a high kick.
Gordon has his takedown stuffed
and Gordon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gordon shoots in but Johnson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Deontae Gordon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Gordon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Johnson throws the kick towards the body but Gordon avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Horrible takedown attempt by Gordon or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson, which made it look bad.
Johnson has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.

Johnson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gordon on the side of the head.

Gordon drops his hands momentarily and Johnson needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Gordon just on the top of the head. Gordon drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Gordon - he's done!

Lamalmar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gordon paws at him with a jab and circles away.
