Mushu takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. A punch combination from Goldberg misses. Goldberg connects with a single shot there. Goldberg throws a series of punches but Mushu avoids them all with ease. Goldberg fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Goldberg lands a head shot. Goldberg will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Goldberg sets himself, and Mushu steps forward looking for the clinch! Goldberg avoids it this time. Goldberg is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Goldberg lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mushu takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Mushu shoots in looking for a takedown but Goldberg manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mushu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Goldberg dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Horrible takedown attempt by Mushu or perhaps it was just good defense by Goldberg, which made it look bad. Despite the aggression on Mushu's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mushu shoots for a double leg takedown but Goldberg sprawls well. He's pushed Mushu's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mushu tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Goldberg is able to avoid easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mushu is keen to just control but Goldberg is a slippery customer. Goldberg is really dominating this fight. Mushu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Goldberg's waist but Goldberg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mushu off to one side. #R1# Derozan shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Derozan connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Derozan misses with a straight left. Mushu wants to clinch up but Derozan keeps it at a distance. Derozan appears to be looking for a counter takedown. A chopping leg kick lands by Derozan. Mushu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Derozan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mushu somewhat. Derozan throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Mushu takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mushu dives in and grabs Derozan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Derozan pushes down on Mushu's head and hops out. Derozan attempts a counter takedown but Mushu avoids it well and moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mushu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Derozan sprawls well. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jimmy Derozan. Well Derozan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jimmy Derozan! Jimmy Derozan decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
