#R1# Nunez avoids the head kick by Sampson.
#TD# Nunez shoots in and gets a takedown into Sampson's guard. Sampson wants to get back to his feet but Nunez passes into half guard.
#REVB# We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sampson wants to control but Nunez is keeping busy.
Nunez thows a huge punch but Sampson dodges it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sampson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Sampson tries to get to full guard but Nunez has control of the leg. #T1# Nunez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Sampson is trying to stand up here but Nunez is controlling him well. Nunez misses with a head shot. Sampson uses the momentum to regain guard. Nunez seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Nunez won't allow Sampson to sweep him here. Nunez really is a fat lump. Nunez showing good wrestling skills to control the position. #T2# There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sampson wants to hit a switch here but Nunez passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Sampson there! Nunez sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sampson is wriggling around trying to escape.
#T3# Sampson keeps trying to improve his position. Nunez content just to control the position here. #T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Sampson tries to hold on but Nunez postures up. Sampson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Sampson tries to lock up and control but Nunez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nunez breaks from Sampson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Nunez controlling from mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nunez with shots to the head and body - Sampson looks very uncomfortable down there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hobert Nunez dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2# Sampson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Sampson will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Nunez lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nunez controlling the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nunez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Sampson landing rabbit punches to the side of Nunez's head. Sampson doesn't succeed with the takedown#TD# and Nunez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sampson trying to get back to full guard but Nunez takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Nunez with a couple of short strikes.#T4# Sampson tries to hold on but Nunez pushes him away. Nunez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nunez raining down shots from the mount! Sampson is working to get back to half guard.

Nunez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sampson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nunez might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Nunez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Nunez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sampson. No luck with that takedown attempt from Sampson. Nunez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sampson sprawls and moves away. Hobert Nunez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Sampson. Sampson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sampson fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Sampson is looking to clinch but Nunez is avoiding it.
Sampson throws a body shot but no joy. Nunez throws a counter high kick but Sampson was just alert enough to avoid it. John Sampson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sampson tries to clinch but fails miserably #TD# and Nunez counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Nunez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hobert Nunez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#T3##SUB2# Sampson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nunez slows the pace down in half guard. Nunez prevents Sampson from improving his position.#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.#SUB2# Sampson looking for submissions off his back. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Nunez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sampson can do to turn this around? #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sampson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nunez paws at him with a jab and circles away. John Sampson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Hobert Nunez is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sampson throws a leg kick #TD# and Nunez counters with a single leg into guard. Sampson didn't expect that.
And that's the end of the fight! Hobert Nunez showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nunez, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
