The referee calls for the fighters to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Waller trying to control from the bottom.
Dayne stops Waller from getting back to his feet.
#T1# Dayne is controlling the pace.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Dayne is thwarting Waller's attempts to control the position.#REF3# The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Waller slips a jab and a cross from Dayne.
#TD2# Dayne closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Waller did well to prevent Dayne getting side control. Well, if Dayne is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Waller is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. #T2##SU2# Dayne decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Dayne connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Waller! He's out on his feet! Dayne rushes in and drops Waller with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

#R1##TD# Dayne shoots in and gets a takedown into Routh's guard. Dayne slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. #SU# Dayne stands up and waves to Routh to follow him. Routh slips a straight right by Dayne. Routh looks like he wants to counter punch here. Dayne throws a right and a left that both miss. Routh moves away from the strike by Dayne. Dayne misses with a wild combination.
Routh lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. #TD# Dayne drives through with a takedown into Routh's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.#ES2# Routh is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Routh tries to break free but Dayne pushes him back against the cage.#T1##BC2# Routh's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Routh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. #TD# Dayne feints and as Routh raises his hands in defense, Dayne changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dayne controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #T2# Routh is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Dayne is controlling him. Routh can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dayne controls the pace.#REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Routh takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.#T3# Dayne throws a nice looking combination but Routh bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Dayne misses with a combination
and Routh counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dayne is lucky that one didn't land flush. Routh misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Steve Routh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Dayne takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Dayne looks to land a right hand but Routh moved out of range. As Dayne backs off Routh throws a huge counter combo but Dayne manages to avoid it all. Dayne misses with a lunging right hand
and Routh counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Dayne is breathing heavily. A punch combination from Dayne misses. Routh throws a fast counter high kick but Dayne manages to duck under it in time. Routh lands with a kick to the temple. Dayne shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Routh lands a high kick!
#ROC2# Dayne is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Routh looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Routh backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Dayne's temple! It sends Dayne violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Routh celebrates and the doctors try to help Dayne!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Steve Routh!

#R1# Hudson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dayne.
Dayne lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Dayne fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dayne misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dayne scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.#ROC2# Hudson is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Jere Hudson has been cut. Hudson looks up at the clock. Bad move! Dayne lands a right hand from hell, dropping Hudson. Dayne pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

#R1##TD2# Miller gets the takedown into side control. Dayne on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dayne tries to get out of the position.#SUB2# Miller working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. #SU2# Miller decides to stand back up. #TD2# Miller scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Dayne is looking to get back to is feet but Miller passes into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.#SUB2# Miller has hold of Dayne's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Dayne seems comfortable defending it but Miller has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Dayne is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Dayne is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Miller couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Nick Miller! A less than humble Nick Miller misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
