#R1# Rump with a poor takedown #CL# and Solis counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Rump on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Rump. Solis throws a punch but it's blocked by Rump. Solis misses with a short punch on the inside. Solis is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Rump is defending well for now. Solis pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Rump is looking for a takedown. Rump lands a nice shot to the body. Solis with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Vincent Solis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Rump. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Solis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Rump jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Solis walks away with a smile on his face. Rump gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rump tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Solis defends well and Rump ends up having to push Solis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Solis is looking to counter with head kicks. Rump shoots in but no luck this time. Rump misses with a takedown #CL# and Solis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. #T1# Rump works on Solis's body with a couple of short punches. A head punch blocked on the inside by Rump. #BC2# Rump breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. #TD# Solis feints and as Rump raises his hands in defense, Solis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.#ES2# Rump has his feet on Solis's hips. This has been an exciting period of action! Rump blocks a punch to the side of the head.
#BC# Solis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#T2# No luck for Rump with that takedown attempt. Solis keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Solis is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rump. Solis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Rump shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Roman Rump seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rump looks winded! Rump throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Solis manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rump closes this distance looking for a takedown but Solis circles away. Solis tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Rump manages to circle out of the way.#CL2# Rump clinches. Rump keeps control of Solis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Rump prevents Solis from breaking the clinch. Rump scores with an uppercut up the middle. Rump blocks a punch to the side of the head.

#BC# Solis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rump tries to close the distance and clinch up but Solis swats him away and circles back towards the center. Horrible takedown attempt by Rump or perhaps it was just good defense by Solis, which made it look bad. #T4# Solis stuffs the takedown. As Rump backs away, Solis returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Solis lands a head kick!

A head kick from Rump lands but Solis takes it in his stride. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Solis takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Rump is looking to take this fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Vincent Solis will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Solis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rump wants to hit a switch here but Solis passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Rump there! #T2# Rump tries to hold on but Solis postures up. Solis unloading with bombs! Rump is looking to get to half guard. Rump tries to hold on but Solis postures up. Rump sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. Rump pushes Solis off looking to stand but Solis dives back in and keeps control.
Rump has a hand on Solis's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Solis takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Solis unloading with bombs! Rump wants to hold on but Solis pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Solis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rump's face.

This is the final round! #R3# Rump is trying hard to land a takedown here. Solis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Solis stuffs the takedown. Rump fails with a takedown attempt. Solis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rump can do to turn this around?#T2# Rump looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Solis puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Solis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rump with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Nice strikes from Solis there. Solis lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Rump has hold of Solis's hands but Solis slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
