Cotton has Joker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Joker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Cotton pressing his opponent against the cage. Joker wants a takedown.
#TD# Cotton has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Joker uses from the top position. Joker wanted to stand there but Cotton had control of the position. Joker pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cotton is keeping the position for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Joker is looking to pass into half guard but Cotton pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Cotton is in guard.#REVR##T1# Cotton lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Joker looking to control but Cotton passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#SUB# Cotton is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Joker sees it coming and defends easily. Cotton lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. #SUB# Cotton is looking for a kimura but Joker is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Cotton to get the leverage. #SUB# Cotton is trying to work for a kimura but Joker is defending well.
#SU# Cotton stands up and beckons Joker to join him on the feet. #T2# Joker fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cotton tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Joker manages to circle out of the way. Joker shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cotton pinned against the cage. Cotton gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Renato Cotton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Joker. A head kick by Joker misses enabling Cotton to counter with a crisp jab. Joker misses with a takedown attempt and Cotton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Joker looks winded!#CL# Cotton has managed to clinch.
#T3# Cotton is trying to drag Joker to the mat but Joker just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.#TD# Cotton manages to pull guard.
Cotton seems keen to control Joker's posture. Joker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cotton swivels though and keeps the full guard. #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Joker wants to control from the top but Cotton keeps moving. #SUB# Joker looking to improve position, pressing down on Cotton's thigh with his hand. Cotton seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Joker paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Joker's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Cotton picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
