Obrien tries to close the distance and clinch up but Griffin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Obrien with a jab.#CUT# It looks like Ryan Griffin has been cut. A combination from Obrien does no damage. Ryan Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Griffin throws a series of punches but Obrien moves out of range. Obrien connects with a nice looking jab.
Griffin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Obrien. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Obrien cracks Griffin with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Griffin falls to his knees and Obrien doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

#R1##TD# Obrien closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Obrien lands a decent elbow from side control. Zek is trying to get back to half guard. Obrien cracks Zek with a big right hand but Zek just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zek is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Zek looks winded! Obrien throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Zek dodges the ground and pound from Obrien. Obrien knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Zek on the ground. Obrien wants to control for a moment but Zek uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zek can do anything to dispel that myth. Obrien looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Zek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Zek has hold of Obrien's hands but Obrien slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Obrien trying to control the action but Zek is working from the bottom. #T1# Zek is looking to escape. Obrien landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Zek taking some punishment here, with Obrien in his half guard. Obrien working the head and body with strikes. Obrien trying to control the pace. Obrien seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Obrien is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Obrien is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. #R1# Druga connects with a body shot. A left lands for Druga. Sean Obrien seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Obrien finds it's way through Druga's defenses. Druga displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Obrien throws out the jab. Druga connects with a right hand. Obrien shakes it off. Druga takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Druga defending well as Obrien loads up on a big left hand. Druga scores with a jab to the jaw. Obrien shoots in looking for a takedown. Druga tries to sprawl out of it but Obrien keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Druga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Druga's jab looks to have found its range, popping Obrien under the eye. A jab from Druga finds it's way through Obrien's defenses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Druga rushes Obrien with punches - Obrien moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Obrien goes down! Druga follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

A very excited looking Lipa Druga made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. #R1##TD# Obrien closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Obrien lands in his opponent's guard. Obrien knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krueger on the ground. Obrien loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Krueger pulls Obrien in to control the position. Obrien might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Krueger's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.#SUB2# Krueger pushes a forearm under Obrien's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Obrien is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

#TD# and Gacy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Obrien won't be happy with that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Obrien wants to control but Gacy postures up. Obrien takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Gacy is staying tight to Obrien's torso, preventing him from escaping. Gacy trying to control the action but Obrien is working from the bottom. Obrien is trying to escape and get back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Obrien is not content to let Gacy control the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Obrien can do anything to dispel that myth.#T1# Gacy working the ground and pound. Gacy feinted with a counter takedown. Obrien is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Obrien shoots in for a double leg but Gacy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Obrien throws a series of strikes that have Gacy backpedaling.
#T3# Nice sprawl there from Obrien as Gacy shoots in. Obrien tries to score a power double leg takedown but Gacy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Obrien somewhat. Gacy feinted with a counter takedown. Obrien tests Gacy's chin there with a solid looking shot. Gacy fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Gacy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gacy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Obrien finds it's way round the side to connect with Gacy's head. #TD# Obrien gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Obrien will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
#T4# Obrien preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Obrien really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gacy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gacy works a leg free and moves into half guard. Gacy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gacy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gacy connects with a nice short shot to Obrien's temple. Gacy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gacy throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Gacy lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Obrien keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gacy wants to pass the guard but Obrien is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Gacy will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! #R2# Obrien moves into range and connects with a jab. Gacy shoots in looking for a takedown but Obrien manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gacy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Obrien punishes Gacy's body with a nice straight punch. Nice takedown defense from Gacy. No joy for Obrien on that attempt. Obrien looks to land a left hand but Gacy moved out of range nicely. Gacy tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Obrien defends well and Gacy ends up having to push Obrien into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Gacy dodges the punch combination from Obrien.

Gacy postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Obrien covers up, he's hurt! Gacy keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Gacy and the ref steps in to end the fight! Gacy can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Obrien gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Obrien will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Griffin darts in trying to clinch and Obrien counters with a two punch combo. Obrien tries to clinch up but Griffin circles away and keeps his distance. Obrien smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Griffin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Obrien's waist but Obrien gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Griffin off to one side. A slow jab from Obrien misses its intended target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That was a close round but I would say that Sean Obrien will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Dickus's jab looks to have found its range, popping Obrien under the eye. Dickus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Obrien will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
