Jackson wants to sweep here but Cardenas controlling him for the moment. #SU# Cardenas decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. That was a close round but I would say that Chester Cardenas will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Chester Cardenas's cut. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Cardenas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cardenas is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Syntax is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Cardenas wants to control but Syntax is having none of it. Cardenas is looking to get to half guard. Cardenas tries to lock up and control but Syntax gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Syntax blocks Cardenas's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Cardenas wants to control but Syntax is having none of it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Syntax cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
