#R1# A left and a right from Liddell both land. Nice combination. Guadaloupe throws a hook to the side of Liddell's head but Liddell sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Liddell misses with an uppercut
enabling Guadaloupe to counter with a crisp jab. Liddell tries to clinch up and Guadaloupe counters with a lovely straight right hand! Liddell on the wrong end of a nice hook.#ROC2# Liddell is rocked! Guadaloupe has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. A shot to the body from Liddell misses and Guadaloupe counters with a left to the body. Oh Liddell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Guadaloupe throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Liddell's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Guadaloupe dives in looking to finish as Liddell flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Guadaloupe's strikes! Guadaloupe is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Liddell's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Liddell was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joey Guadaloupe!
