#R1# Money closes the distance and clinches up with Carneiro, looking for a takedown. Money pushes Carneiro against the cage but Carneiro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carneiro half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.#TD2# Money shoots in for a takedown and gets it.#ES# Carneiro kicks Money off and gets back to his feet.#TD2# Money fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Carneiro to the ground. Money is now in Carneiro's guard.#ES# Carneiro has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Money is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#TD2# Money pulls guard effortlessly. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Money trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Carneiro throws a big elbow that misses. Carneiro postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Money keeping moving, preventing Carneiro from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Money has momentary wrist control but Carneiro slips an elbow through the middle.#T1# Carneiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Money swivels though and keeps the full guard. Money trying to control the position.
Money is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Carneiro's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Money looking to sweep here. No luck so far. #SUB2# Money working for a triangle but Carneiro defends it easily.

The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Money looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Money! #REVB# Carneiro is trying to control Money's posture but Money avoids it. #SUB2# Money is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carneiro has escaped the position, nice work there. Carneiro tries to improve position but can't. #SUB2# Money thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Carneiro is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Money's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.#T3# Carneiro is looking to improve his position.

Money is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Antero Jose Carneiro will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. #R2##TD2# Excellent takedown into side control there by Money. #SUB2# Money tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Money scores with a couple of short elbows. You can see the frustration on Carneiro's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Money working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
