#R1# Robertson misses with a wild body shot. Robertson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Robertson works Amodei's body with a nice hook. Robertson misses with an uppercut. Amodei saw that one coming. Amodei wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Robertson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Amodei tries to counter by clinching up but Robertson breaks away and moves out of range. Robertson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Amodei at a distance.
Robertson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Amodei momentarily.
Amodei pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Robertson throws a sloppy body shot
#CL# and Amodei moves into the clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Amodei. Robertson blocking some punches.
Amodei pushes Robertson back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.#T1# Amodei tries to work over Robertson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Robertson is struggling to control the position. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Amodei misses with some punches.
#TD# Amodei jumps guard.
Amodei manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Robertson manages to get himself to full guard.
#REVR##SUB# Amodei drops back looking for a leg! Robertson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Robertson manages to kick Amodei off! Amodei jumps back into Robertson's guard. Robertson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.#T2# Robertson keeping moving, preventing Amodei from controlling successfully. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.#SUB# Amodei drops back looking for a leg! Robertson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Robertson manages to kick Amodei off! Amodei jumps back into Robertson's guard. Robertson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Amodei. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Amodei stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Robertson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Amodei sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Robertson's guard. #T3# Amodei tries to pass to full mount but Robertson defends it. #SUB# Amodei is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Robertson defends it well. #SUB# Amodei is trying to work for a kimura but Robertson is defending well.
Amodei takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Robertson wants to get back to full guard.#SUB# Amodei is looking for a kimura here.
#T4# Amodei passes into side control, despite Robertson's attempt to control the position.
Robertson can't do much from the bottom here. #SUB# Amodei is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Robertson has escaped the position, nice work there. #SUB# Amodei is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robertson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Amodei is looking to take a break and control but Robertson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. #T5##SUB# Amodei looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #SUB# Amodei is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Robertson is trying to escape and Amodei transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Robertson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Amodei! Very nice indeed!
