#R1##CL2# Giaquinta moves into the clinch.#TD2# Shannon is fighting off a takedown attempt but Giaquinta is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Shannon to the mat. Shannon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shannon looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Shannon has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Giaquinta has passed into side control.
Shannon is looking for a sweep. Shannon prevents Giaquinta from moving into mount. Shannon wants to control but Giaquinta postures up. Giaquinta content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Giaquinta wants to stand but Shannon has his arm trapped. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Giaquinta slows the pace down. Shannon takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. #R1# Bled looks to clinch #TD# and Shannon decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bled's guard. Shannon lands a couple of elbows.#SUB2# Bled throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
#SUB2# Bled is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shannon defends well. Shannon postures up in Bled's guard and throws a big left but Bled blocks it. Shannon throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shannon stands up over Bled, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. #SUB2# Bled is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Shannon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bled on the ground. Shannon landing some decent shots from guard. Bled working a defensive guard here.
Shannon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shannon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shannon has his hands clasped together but Bled extends and breaks Shannon's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Bled.

#R1##TD2# Sobaka scores with a takedown into Shannon's guard.#ES# Shannon has his feet on Sobaka's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. #TD2# Sobaka closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Shannon to the mat! Shannon manages to get full guard. Sobaka is working Shannon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Shannon throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shannon is trying to control the position but Sobaka postures up. Sobaka scoring with some ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sobaka is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. #ROC2# Shannon is rocked! Sobaka loads up on a big left hand. Shannon felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Sobaka looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Shannon can't hide his disappointment, as Sobaka celebrates the victory.

#R1# Rekje throws a head kick that misses. #CL2# Rekje gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rekje tries to break the clinch but Shannon is controlling the position. Rekje misses with a shot to the kidneys.
#BC2# Rekje escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rekje moves in looking to clinch but Shannon pushes him off. Rekje tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Shannon swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#CL2# Rekje clinches with his opponent.
Shannon tries to score a body lock takedown but Rekje shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Shannon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Rekje pulls his leg out and moves away.
#T1# Shannon avoids the head kick by Rekje.
#CL2# Rekje forces Shannon back against the cage and clinches. Shannon is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rekje pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gordon Shannon. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shannon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Shannon is nestled in close to Rekje, controlling him well. Shannon is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Rekje breaks from Shannon's wrist control and lands an elbow. Rekje gets off balance looking for a body kick and Shannon counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Rekje tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Rekje throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Rekje lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rekje tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shannon paws at him with a jab and circles away.#T3##TD# Shannon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rekje pushes Shannon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Shannon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. No, Rekje has escaped the position, nice work there. Shannon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Rekje pushes Shannon away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Shannon gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Gordon Shannon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.#T4##SUB# Shannon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Rekje is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Shannon has just dragged him back down to the mat. Shannon postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Shannon remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Shannon cracks Rekje with an elbow. That is naaassty. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.#SUB# Shannon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rekje has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Shannon but great work by Rekje.#SUB2# Rekje is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Shannon has escaped the position, nice work there. #CUT2# It looks like Gordon Shannon has been cut. Alexander walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Shannon drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Alexander swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Shannon's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

#R1# Parliament misses with an uppercut. Parliament fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Parliament misses the jab. Parliament lands a right hook to the body.
Parliament wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Shannon shoots in for a takedown but Parliament shows good takedown defense. Parliament digs a good body shot into Shannon's ribs. Nice cross by Parliament. Parliament cracks Shannon with a hook to the temple - Shannon is on wobbly legs here! Parliament swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Shannon falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Parliament wins by TKO!

#R1##TD2# Shannon gets caught flat footed, as Mendes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Shannon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Mendes is one step ahead there. Mendes controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Shannon throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Mendes engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Mendes is working Shannon over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Shannon manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mendes manages to get himself to full guard.

You can see the frustration on Shannon's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
