Knowles has had enough of the clinch but Rockhold keeps him there for the moment. Knowles wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
#BC2# Rockhold escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rockhold fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.#CL2# Rockhold instigates a clinch. Knowles jumps guard but Rockhold turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Knowles really is a fat lump. Rockhold tries to score a body lock takedown but Knowles shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Rockhold lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knowles misses with a knee to the head. #BC# Knowles pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Rockhold connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.#CUT2# It looks like Marcel Knowles has been cut.#T1##CL# Knowles closes the distance and pushes Rockhold back into the cage.#TD2# Rockhold jumps guard and drags Knowles to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Knowles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Rockhold is trying to control the position but Knowles postures up. Rockhold pulls Knowles in close to prevent any damage. Rockhold bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Knowles's guard. #REVB# Knowles is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Knowles's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Knowles is trying to keep Rockhold in close.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rockhold tries to free his leg and advance position but Knowles is retaining full guard. Knowles throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Knowles is controlling Rockhold 's posture. Rockhold with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rockhold is defended easily by Knowles. Knowles throws a quick counter head kick but Rockhold was just out of range. A head kick misses from Knowles. #TD2# Knowles gets caught napping as Rockhold dives in and scores a takedown. Knowles manages to retain guard. Rockhold takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Knowles trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Rockhold trying to control but Knowles is working from the bottom. Knowles is striking but Rockhold is not phased and passes to half guard. Rockhold content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Knowles wants to control but Rockhold is keeping busy and won't allow it. #T4# My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Knowles holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Knowles has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Rockhold maintains the clinch. #BC2# Rockhold breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#TD# Knowles closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rockhold 's guard. Rockhold has control of Knowles's left arm, preventing Knowles from doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Luke Rockhold comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rockhold has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
