We've been informed that Patches has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Jarome Patches spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fatu.
Steel thuds his shin into the meat of Fatu's side.

Fatu feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Steel sprawling to the canvas! Steel rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Fatu finish him?!

Knuckles Of Steel's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Steel buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

A telegraphed right hand from Steel misses the target.
A solid leg kick lands there for Steel.
Steel gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Fatu gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Johnson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fatu is working Johnson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Johnson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Johnson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. #REVR#
Fatu tries to kick Johnson off in order to stand up. Johnson Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Johnson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Fatu is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Johnson yanks on the arm and Fatu is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Johnson.
