#R1##CL# The fight moves into the clinch position. Knees in the clinch landing for Nunez.
#TD# Nunez has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics San uses from the top position. San stands up out of Nunez's guard for a moment - Nunez manages to land a nice upkick. Nunez has San pulled in close to control his posture. San would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Nunez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. San is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Nunez lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.#REVR# Nunez landing some decent shots from guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# San is trying to stand and escape. In the scramble, Nunez has locked hold of an arm and he's managed to lock on an armbar - San taps out instantly and this one is all over!

#R1# Maciel tests San's chin there with a solid looking shot. San takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
San takes one on the button. Maciel throws a series of punches but San moves out of range. San is looking to counter with a shot to the body. Maciel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck San on the side of the head. Maciel with a nice cross. Maciel finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Maciel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maciel scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Maciel has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. San gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Maciel. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maciel misses with a head kick.
And San counters with a quick kick to the body but Maciel blocks it.#T1# Maciel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but San circles away quickly and effectively. Maciel swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Maciel swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by San. Maciel bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of San's head. Maciel misses with a wild body shot. Maciel misses with a body kick. San is looking to counter with a body kick. Maciel throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Maciel is looking to chop away at San's legs. San appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Maciel throws a sloppy head kick and San counters with a nice kick to the body. Maciel throws a hook but San blocks it.#T2# Maciel lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Maciel lands an overhand right. Maciel thuds a left hand into San's body. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maciel misses with a series of wild punches.
It looked like San was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Maciel. San on the wrong end of a nice hook. Maciel swings and misses with a hook to the body.

San appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. San could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. San takes one to the side of the head.

Maciel's coach down at Soul Supremacy Rio was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Maciel's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Maciel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps San's head backwards. San blocks a leg kick. San looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit. Maciel connects with a single shot there. Maciel walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. San checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. San swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Maciel ducks down and throws a hook to the body but San moves away. A quick step to the side and San tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. San takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Jab by Maciel. Maciel misses with a shot to the body and San counters with a big head kick but Maciel shrugs it off. #T4# Maciel swinging wildly here.
San takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Maciel throws a right and a left that San avoids nicely. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Maciel feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Maciel scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Maciel misses with a low kick. Maciel dips to his left and cracks San with an uppercut! Maciel looks to land a body kick but San moved away. San is looking to counter with a body kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henrique Maciel dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! #R2# Maciel fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches San on the side of the head. San avoids a kick to the body.

San walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Maciel jabs San right on the nose. San blinks but takes it well. San gets cracked there but stands up to it.

San is looking to counter with a body kick. Maciel connects with a good right hand that stumbles San. San circles away out of range and recomposes himself. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! San has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Maciel finds it's way round the side to connect with San's head. Maciel throws a head kick that misses. Maciel motions for San to come forward. Maciel throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Maciel lands a nice shot that snaps San's head back.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. San walks into a left hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. San gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Maciel scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Maciel lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Maciel misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Henrique Maciel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round! #R3# San takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Maciel's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and San falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

#R1##CL# Francisco forces San back against the cage and clinches. A short body shot lands from Francisco as the two fighters clinch.
#TD# Francisco pulls guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Francisco is on top in guard.
#REVR# The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Francisco's corner is telling him to maintain position. Francisco won't allow San to get back to his feet. Francisco stands up over San, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. San is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Francisco postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. San really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Francisco. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Francisco controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Francisco landing with the ground and pound. Francisco prevents San from getting back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Francisco scoring with punches to the head and body. Francisco will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Francisco advances position into side control! Francisco scores with punches from side control. San trying to remain calm as Francisco controls from the top position. Francisco working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The referee asks Francisco politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Francisco prefers to stall for the moment though.
