#R1##TD2# Suzuki darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Suzuki working over Vargas with some ground and pound. Vargas looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Suzuki drops an elbow to the side of Vargas's head. Vargas trying to control from the bottom.
Vargas flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Suzuki slips a nice elbow through Vargas's hands, connecting with Vargas's forehead. Suzuki drops an elbow to the side of Vargas's head. Suzuki is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Suzuki winds up and cracks Vargas with a swinging punch to the side of the head. #SUB# Vargas looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Suzuki connects with a nice short shot to Vargas's temple. #T1# Suzuki sitting in half guard here. He lands a big elbow that has hurt Vargas! Oh, Vargas is in big trouble! Suzuki lands more strikes and the ref dives in to save him! The fight is over!

#R1##TD2# Nigouera gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Suzuki to score an easy takedown into full guard. Nigouera throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Suzuki throwing strikes but missing. Suzuki working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. #CUT2# It looks like Rodrigo Nigouera has been cut.#SUB# Nigouera looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Suzuki is defending well. Nigouera quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Suzuki has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Nigouera celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

#R1# Johnson lands with a kick to the temple. Suzuki shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" #TD2# Johnson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Johnson wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Suzuki manages to pass to side control. Johnson trying to hold on to Suzuki's head to control him but Suzuki postures up.

Johnson is staying active underneath Suzuki, who seems content to just control the action from this position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
