Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Vesa Asikainen and Dawit Asfaw. Dawit Asfaw told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Vesa Asikainen! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Dawit Asfaw! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Asfaw wants to clinch. Asfaw stuffs the takedown attempt from Asikainen. Asikainen gets slowly back to his feet. Asikainen circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vesa Asikainen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Asfaw doesn't manage to clinch there - Asikainen circles away.
We've been hearing reports that Asikainen has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Asikainen misses with a takedown attempt - Asfaw sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Asikainen sets himself, and Asfaw steps forward looking for the clinch! Asikainen avoids it this time. Asikainen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Asikainen maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Asfaw could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Asikainen has cracked it and Asfaw is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Asikainen!

#R1# Asfaw jabs at Gardner's body. A punch combination from Asfaw misses. #TD# Gardner closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Asfaw quickly recovers to half guard. Gardner passes to full mount! #SUB# Gardner throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Asfaw has his hands clasped together but Gardner breaks the hold and Asfaw is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gardner!

#R1##CL2# Asfaw gets a clinch. Asfaw has Skinner pressed against the cage, preventing Skinner from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Skinner keeps control of Asfaw as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Skinner is trying to force a seperation but Asfaw has the dominant position. Asfaw is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.#BC2# Asfaw's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Asfaw tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Skinner has his takedown stuffed#KD2# and Asfaw counters with a crisp one two that drops Skinner! Asfaw thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Skinner to his feet! Skinner is in big trouble!#ROC2# Skinner is rocked! Asfaw fakes the body blow, causing Skinner to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Skinner goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

#R1# Asfaw moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.#CUT2# It looks like Michale Webb has been cut. Asfaw rushes Webb and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Webb is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Asfaw piles on the pressure and Webb crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
