Nickolson slips a straight right by Kim. Kim looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Kim looks to score with a jab to the body but Nickolson is just out of range. Kim misses with a kick to the body.
Kim goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Kim shoots in for a takedown but Nickolson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A nice side step and Nickolson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. A looping hook to the body misses from Kim. Nickolson does a little dance to reset his feet. Nickolson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kim throws the kick towards the body but Nickolson avoids it.#CL2# Nickolson has taken the fight to the clinch.

Nickolson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kim on the side of the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kim looking to land some kicks to the body here.
#CL2# Nickolson darts in and clinches Kim up against the cage. Kim trying to control the position but instead, Nickolson has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kim into the cage. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Nickolson creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Nickolson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kim's efforts to push away. Nickolson lands a body shot in the clinch.

He's just covering up as Nickolson starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

#R1##TD# Batista bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.#SUB# Batista tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Batista has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #SUB# Batista is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kim knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Batista wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kim keeps working. #SUB# Batista is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kim is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Batista looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. #T1# Kim is looking to reverse the position.#SUB# Batista tries for a kimura. Batista fails with a takedown attempt. #T2##TD# Batista closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Kim's guard. Batista wants to pass the guard but Kim is keeping the position. Kim is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Batista is controlling him. Batista really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've been told by Batista's head coaches at Harambe Remembrance Hall that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Batista takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Kim stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kim wants it to stay on the feet. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kim.

#R1##KD# Kim lands a big head kick that sends Poole tumbling to the mat! Kim takes a step backwards and waves Poole back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT# It looks like Stacey Poole has been cut. Kim gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Poole lands with a big left! Kim is wobbled badly! Poole comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Kim to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Stacey Poole! In his post fight interview, Stacey Poole started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Kozlov cracks Kim with a big elbow. #SUB2# Kozlov tries for a kimura but Kim is defending well. Kim is trying to control Kozlov's posture but Kozlov avoids it. #SUB2# Kozlov is working to tighten his grip on Kim's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kim has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kozlov is really squeezing tight and eventually Kim passes out! Kozlov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Yevgeni Kozlov! Yevgeni Kozlov was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.

Foilayoung tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kim swats him away and circles back towards the center. Foilayoung shoots in looking for a takedown but Kim manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Foilayoung's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kim scores with a jab to the jaw. This has been an exciting period of action! Foilayoung uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kim. Foilayoung looks to land a combination but Kim avoids it well. Kim is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. And that's the end of the fight! Mason Kim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
