#R1# James takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
#TD# James manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Avetisyan on his heels. He'll look to pass Avetisyan's guard now, I'm sure. James lands a couple of decent looking shots. Avetisyan wants to sweep here but James controlling him for the moment. James is stalling in the full guard. James won't allow Avetisyan to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. James pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Avetisyan is keeping the position for now. James looking to control the position here, rather than advance. #T1# James postures up in Avetisyan's guard and throws a big left but Avetisyan blocks it. James preventing the sweep. James seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Nice jab there from Avetisyan. Avetisyan swings for the body but James moves out of range.
As Avetisyan looks to move away, James throws a big counter combo but Avetisyan just gets out of the way.#T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.#CL# James moves into range and clinches up with Avetisyan. Avetisyan trying to control the position but instead, James has worked for underhooks and has pushed Avetisyan into the cage. James slowing the pace effectively. James is leaning against Avetisyan and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.#TD# James jumps into guard, dragging Avetisyan to the mat.
Avetisyan wants to control from the top but James keeps moving. James pulls Avetisyan in to control the position. Avetisyan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. James looking for a sweep. Not yet James , not yet. #T3# James keeping moving, preventing Avetisyan from controlling successfully. James manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Avetisyan manages to get himself to full guard.

James is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Avetisyan gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. James has Avetisyan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Avetisyan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. #T4# James looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Trenton James . That's going to take a lot out of him.#BC# James 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Avetisyan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
James doesn't succeed with the takedown and Avetisyan counters with a left to the body. James misses with a takedown and Avetisyan counters with a straight right hand. James is breathing heavily. Avetisyan lands a slapping body shot.
Good exchange - Avetisyan coming out on top. This has been an exciting period of action! James tries to close the distance and clinch up but Avetisyan swats him away and circles back towards the center. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Avetisyan scores with a punch to the head. Avetisyan scores with a hook. Avetisyan's jab looks to have found its range, popping James under the eye. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Avetisyan is motioning to the referee to let James up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Oh James is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! James ducks into an uppercut from Avetisyan and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Avet Avetisyan! A less than humble Avet Avetisyan misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
