Emerson misses with a left hand and Frazier counters with a nice body shot. Emerson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Frazier has time to react. Emerson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Frazier keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Emerson. Emerson misses with a hook.#CL2# Frazier clinches up against the cage.#TD2# Emerson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Frazier is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Emerson to the mat. Emerson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. This has been an exciting period of action! Frazier stands and throws Emerson's legs to the side, diving into side control. Frazier just content to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Emerson is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. Emerson lands with a straight right. Kurita didn't see that one coming.#CUT# It looks like Minobu Kurita has been cut. Kurita tries to move into range but Emerson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Kurita takes one to the side of the head.
#ROC# Kurita is rocked! Kurita leaves his chin hanging out and Emerson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Kurita crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ace Emerson! During a confident post fight interview, Ace Emerson thanked all his fans. Hayesford is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Emerson scores with the left hand. Hayesford knows he should have avoided that one. Hayesford tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Emerson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hayesford misses the jab. Ace Emerson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Emerson misses the jab. Emerson loads up on a big right hand but Hayesford slips the punch. A big left from Emerson misses. Hayesford misses with a low kick. Emerson slips under a jab. Emerson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Emerson connects with a quick right hand that sends Hayesford tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!

#R1# Barr slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Emerson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barrs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Emerson scores with a jab to the head.
James Barr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barr moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A big left from Emerson misses. Emerson avoids the body shot from Barr.
Emerson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Barr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Emerson scores with a jab to the jaw. Emerson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
