#R1# Dali connects with a crisp jab. #CUT# It looks like RJ Barakus has been cut. Dali lunges at Barakus with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Barakus's hand. Barakus fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Barakus ducks right into an uppercut from Dali. Dali lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Barakus misses with a takedown attempt and Dali scores with a counter punch that sends Barakus to the canvas! Dali smells blood - he's punishing Barakus with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Barakus has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Arany Dali! Arany Dali is the new light heavyweight champion!

#R1# Barakus will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. As Barakus looks to move away, Wolfe throws a big counter combo but Barakus just gets out of the way. Barakus throws a jab when Wolfe was well out of range. Wolfe went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Wolfe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Barakus throws a hook but Wolfe avoids it easily. Wolfe slips under a jab.#CL# Wolfe rushes Barakus and presses him up against the cage.#TD# Wolfe has clasped his hands together around Barakus's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Wolfe cracks Barakus with a big right hand but Barakus just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Barakus gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Wolfe knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barakus on the ground. Ground and pound from Wolfe. Wolfe is thwarting Barakus's attempts to control the position. Wolfe slips a nice elbow through Barakus's hands, connecting with Barakus's forehead. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Barakus wants to improve his position but Wolfe is controlling well.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Wolfe scoring with strikes to the body and head. Wolfe thows a huge punch but Barakus dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barakus is pressing down on Wolfe's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Wolfe working some strikes from top position. Wolfe postures up.

#R1# Barakus shoots and misses and Wallace counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Wallace lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Wallace.#CUT# It looks like RJ Barakus has been cut. Barakus throws an off balance right hand
and Wallace counters with a left right combination that sends Barakus crashing to the mat - Wallace wastes no time in diving on top of him and pounding Barakus out for a TKO! Devastating finish!

#R1##TD# Barakus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.#SUB# Barakus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Rider, who protects the arm well. Rider is pushing Barakus's head away, looking to escape. Barakus manages to hold on to the position though. Barakus advances to mount. Rider is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
#SUB# Barakus working for a guillotine from mount but Rider is in no mood to give up. Barakus is looking to work his way around to Rider's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rider is trying to stand up.#SUB# Barakus working for a submission but Rider is keeping him at bay. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barakus wants to take Rider's back but he can't do it this time. Rider trying desperately to get to his feet.
#T1##SUB# Barakus goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Rider turns into him and now he's in Barakus's guard.
#SU2# Rider stands up and waves to Barakus to follow him. Barakus looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. No luck for Barakus with that takedown attempt. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rider! But no joy. Rider lands the left hand. RJ Barakus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barakus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Rider sprawls well. Rider wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Barakus gets slowly back to his feet. Rider swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Barakus takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Barakus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Rider to score with a decent uppercut. Midnight Rider is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.#T2# Barakus closes the distance and clinches up with Rider, looking for a takedown. Barakus pushes Rider against the cage but Rider circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for RJ Barakus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rider misses with a hook. Barakus ducked under it nicely. Barakus fails with the takedown. Rider looks like he wants to counter punch here.#TD# Rider tries to sprawl but Barakus drives through with a takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barakus is looking to pass Rider's guard but actually Rider recovers to full guard. #ES2# Rider is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Barakus presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Barakus jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rider walks away with a smile on his face. Barakus gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Rider scores with a jab to the jaw. Barakus fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rider avoids it really well and circles away. Rider throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
#CUT2# It looks like RJ Barakus has been cut.#T3# Horrible takedown attempt by Barakus or perhaps it was just good defense by Rider, which made it look bad. Rider swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Rider checks a leg kick nicely. Rider scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Barakus throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rider sees it coming and avoids it easily. Rider lands with a cross. Rider throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Barakus. Rider swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Rider feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Barakuss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Barakus walks into a jab.#ROC2# Barakus is rocked! Barakus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rider finds it's way round the side to connect with Barakus's head. Oh Barakus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Rider connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Barakus's hands. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rider pounces like a tiger and cracks Barakus with a vicious hook! Barakus is down but not out! Rider follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Midnight Rider! Midnight Rider very nearly forgot to thank Freebok (85% Laundry) amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.

Wolfe half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Barakus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wolfe but Wolfe pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wolfe is looking for a counter combo. Ivan Wolfe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of RJ Barakus. Barakus fails to land the takedown. Wolfe is in close to Barakus's body, working some short punches and elbows. Wolfe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Wolfe has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Wolfe distracts Barakus with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. #R1# Dali explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.#CL# Dali moves into the clinch. Dali lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Dali lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Nice body punch from Dali. A short right from Dali. Dali scores with a nice hook to the head. Barakus tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dali smiles and moves away.
Dali cracks Barakus with an open hand slap. A jab lands there for Dali. Barakus is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dali sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Barakus with a lazy takedown attempt and Dali counters with a lovely straight right hand! Arany Dali has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of RJ Barakus. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dali dips to his left and cracks Barakus with an uppercut! Barakus takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

We've been told by Dali's head coaches at Frenzied Rainbows Multi-Combat that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dali ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Nilsen cracks a nice hook into Barakus's ribs. Nilsen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Nilsen knocks out Barakus with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Nilsen before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Nilsen picks up the big W with a huge KO!

We've been hearing reports that Barakus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. Wallace prevents a takedown attempt there.
#TD# Barakus gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wallace wants to sweep but Barakus has passed to side control!#SUB# Barakus thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. #SUB# Barakus working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Barakus goes for a takedown attempt but Devil pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Devil connects with a body shot that sends Barakus's belly button to the back.#CL2# Devil rushes Barakus and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#BC# Barakus breaks from the clinch.
