Salaharja throws a right hand that Farrell ducks under and follows up with a left that Farrell also avoids with ease.#TD# Farrell closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Salaharja's guard. Farrell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Salaharja works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Farrell throwing strikes from guard but Salaharja blocks nicely. Salaharja wants to stand but Farrell is controlling the position. #T1# Salaharja has a closed guard, preventing Farrell from standing up. Farrell throws a big right hand that misses. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. and DeVayne cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#TD2# DeVayne dives in and scores a takedown into Salaharja's guard. DeVayne throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. DeVayne landing with the ground and pound. DeVayne is looking to work some ground and pound but Salaharja has wrist control. DeVayne prevents Salaharja from getting back to his feet. DeVayne wants to control from the top but Salaharja keeps moving. DeVayne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. DeVayne throwing strikes from guard but Salaharja blocks nicely. DeVayne stands up over Salaharja, holding his feet. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salaharja keeping moving, preventing DeVayne from controlling successfully. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. DeVayne using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Salaharja has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

DeVayne taking a break here but Salaharja is having none of it and regains half guard. Salaharja keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. DeVayne drops an elbow to the side of Salaharja's head. Salaharja looks like he's trying to stand up.
DeVayne has been the more effective fighter overall so far. DeVayne looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Salaharja with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. #T2# Salaharja avoiding damage under a succession of punches from DeVayne. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Salaharja tries to stand and escape but DeVayne is controlling the position. Rahim Salaharja has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dwayne DeVayne is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. DeVayne wants to get back to his feet. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

#R1# Salaharja tries to clinch but fails miserably and Brewer counters with a stiff right hand. #TD2# Brewer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Salaharja manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.#ES# Salaharja wriggles free and stands up. #TD2# Brewer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Brewer lands in his opponent's guard.#ES# Salaharja uses the cage to get back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Salaharja tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brewer paws at him with a jab and circles away. Brewer feints the counter takedown.#TD# Salaharja closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Salaharja prevents Brewer from escaping the position.#SUB# Brewer wants to control the position but that's not easy when your opponent is in side control! Salaharja seems to be going for some sort of submission here. Hard to say what - oh, it's a Brabo choke! He's got it! Brewer is tapping! Wow, great finish!
