#R1# Beard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.#CL2# Beard pushes Sawyer up against the cage in a clinch. Beard lands an elbow inside that Sawyer shrugs off. #CUT2# It looks like Jeffery Sawyer has been cut. Sawyer slows down the pace here.
Sawyer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#TD# Sawyer has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Beard uses from the top position. #SUB# Sawyer is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Beard frees his head nicely. Oh but Sawyer has switched to an armbar! Beard is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Jeffery Sawyer!
