Sandoval is defending well for now. Sandoval tries to pull guard but Schumacher holds him up against the cage and eventually Sandoval drops back down to his feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hayden Sandoval. That's going to take a lot out of him. Schumacher prevents a takedown attempt there.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Schumacher avoids the attempt from Sandoval to control.#T2##SUB2# Schumacher wants to finish this one by submission but Sandoval is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Schumacher. Schumacher throws some wild stikes that Sandoval manages to avoid easily.

Sandoval is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Poor strikes thrown by Schumacher there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Leon Schumacher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Schumacher lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
