#R1##TD# Big gets caught napping as Maximus Jr dives in and scores a takedown. Big manages to retain guard. Maximus Jr is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Maximus Jr with a nice head shot there. Maximus Jr throwing strikes but missing. Big really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Maximus Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Maximus Jr tries to free his leg and advance position but Big is retaining full guard. Maximus Jr content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Maximus Jr stops Big from standing up. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Big can do anything to dispel that myth. Maximus Jr working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Maximus Jr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Big works some decent striking defense from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maximus Jr in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Maximus Jr pushing down on Big's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. #R1# Big throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Big scores with a hook to the body. Maximus Jr takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Notorious Big seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Big connects with a body shot. Maximus Jr blocks a head kick by Big.
A clash of legs there as Maximus Jr blocks the low kick. Maximus Jr drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Big defends it well. Big throws a head kick but Maximus Jr moves out of range.
Big throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Big swings for the body but Maximus Jr moves out of range.
Maximus Jr changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. The fighters circle momentarily. Big darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Maximus Jr misses the jab. Maximus Jr walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Maximus Jr takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Big scores with a leg kick.

Notorious Big is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Maximus Jr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Big's waist but Big gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maximus Jr off to one side. Big throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Maximus Jr connects with a nice short shot to Big's temple. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Maximus Jr lands a nice short elbow. Maximus Jr is taking a breather. Big says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Nice strikes from Maximus Jr there. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Maximus Jr controlling the action here. Maximus Jr lands with a punch from half guard. Big knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maximus Jr on the ground.#T2# Maximus Jr working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. #ROC2# Big is rocked! #R1# Big misses the shot to the body. The Burninator definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The Burninator takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Big swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and The Burninator counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The Burninator shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. The Burninator lands with a good body shot. The Burninator misses with a looping left. Big slips under a jab. Big throws out a leg kick but The Burninator moves out of range and Big only half commits. The Burninator closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Big throws a sloppy head kick and The Burninator counters with a crisp right that sends Big to the canvas! The Burninator follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Padorca accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Padorca content to stall in guard here.
