Davis tries for a takedown but Nicholson circles away easily
and Nicholson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Davis fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nicholson connects with a body shot that sends Davis's belly button to the back.
Nicholson moves out of range of the strikes.
Robert Nicholson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davis closes the distance and clinches up with Nicholson , looking for a takedown. Davis pushes Nicholson against the cage but Nicholson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Robert Nicholson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Davis.

Nicholson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Nicholson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Meechum sprawls well. Meechum wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Nicholson gets slowly back to his feet.
