Spar swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Stevie Rico seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rico scores with a kick to the midsection.
Rico tries a head kick but it misses.
Spar looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Some bone on bone action there as Spar checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Rico scores with a head kick. Spar tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rico darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Spar on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rico throws a body punch but Spar moves out of range.
Rico just misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oh Rico is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Spar counters with a nice leg kick.
Rico motions for Spar to come forward. Rico throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

and Spar counters with a nice body kick.
Rico moves out of range of the body kick from Spar.
Rico throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Spar lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Spar closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Rico! Spar dives in looking to finish! Rico is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). 4 Spar!
A very excited looking 4 Spar made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.

Pocc dives in for a single leg takedown but Rico sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Rico dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Rico throws a head kick that half lands.
Pocc looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rico is fending him off so far but Pocc persists. Nope, Rico circles away and we're back to standing.
Stevie Rico has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tusing Pocc.
Pocc shoots in but no luck this time.
Pocc has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Pocc shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rico manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Possibly an early stoppage but Rico doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

A relieved looking Tusing Pocc thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Chooooooooon! I think Berggren might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mozart - Lacrimosa. Stevie Rico has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Elvis Blanc.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Rico defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Berggren.
Berggren sets himself, and Rico steps forward looking for the clinch! Berggren avoids it this time.
Berggren shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rico defends it nicely.
