A nice combination there by Escalante.
Escalante goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Escalante scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Escalante misses with a double jab.

Huncho is working away from the top position though. Frost is looking for a sweep. Huncho is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Huncho wants to control but Frost is keeping him busy. Huncho controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Frost is refusing to be controlled, as Huncho sits in half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Frost manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Frost's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Date connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Frost scrambles back to his feet. Date has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Frost shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Frost changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Date tries to avoid it but Frost manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Date to the ground. Date escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. It seemed like Date was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Frost. That's going to take a lot out of him. Frost looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Frost is trying to get back to half guard. Teesra controls the position. The ground and pound from Teesra seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Frost struggling a bit here. Teesra tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Frost takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. #R1# Frost throws a right and a left that both miss. Diaz misses with a two punch combination.
Diaz leaves Frost with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Diaz shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Frost eats them both and turns towards Diaz to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.#ROC2# Frost is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Tyson Frost has been cut. Diaz dances in with a quick combination. Frost is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Diaz snaps Frost's head back. Frost stumbles backwards against the cage. Diaz steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Frost's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Frost just didn't come prepared.

#R1##CL2# Chin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Frost swings wildly with an uppercut but Chin uses good head movement to avoid it. Frost pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.#TD2# Chin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Frost postures up in Chin's guard and throws a big left but Chin blocks it. Frost lands a couple of digs. Frost slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Frost accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. It's a sloppy attempt though and Chin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Frost wants to sweep here but Chin controlling him for the moment. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Chin manages to end up in side control. Chin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Chin in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Frost wants to control but Chin postures up. Frost is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Chin off and has taken his back! Chin has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Frost. Frost controlling well, preventing Chin from escaping the position.

Frost seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chin for as long as he can get away with.
