Nagano shoots for a double leg takedown but Khamedd sprawls well. He's pushed Nagano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nagano fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Khamedd drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Nagano defends it well.
Nagano fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Makoto Nagano. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khamedd shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nagano but Nagano pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Nagano wants to clinch
and Gary counters with a left to the body.
Gary lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Gary uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Nagano has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Tokyo in the buildup to the fight.
