Nice takedown defense from Yamato. No joy for Wendall on that attempt.
Wendall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Yamato pinned against the cage. Yamato gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wendall looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Yamato lands a jab to the head.
Yamato leaves Wendall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Akihito Yamato has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jarrett Wendall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Yamato is looking to wear down Wendall with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Wendall switches off momentarily and Yamato cracks him with a monster right hand! Wendall topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Yamato dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Yamato!
