A very excited looking Black Bad Boy made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Mr Sam had this to say: 'Well, at least my mom thinks I'm cool. '.

Sam closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Gardner is trying to control but can't.
Sam is keen to just control but Gardner is a slippery customer.
Gardner preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Gardner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gardner wants to control but Sam is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
