Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! #SUB# Alves working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. #SUB# Alves is trying to get an arm triangle but Szczawinski is defending well. Alves misses with the ground and pound.#T1# Alves trying to control the position but Szczawinski is working away. #SUB# Alves is working to tighten his grip on Szczawinski's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Szczawinski has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Alves is really squeezing tight and eventually Szczawinski passes out! Thistlewhite is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Szczawinski gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Thistlewhite is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Szczawinski is defending well. Szczawinski is trying to maintain a safe position but Thistlewhite gets an underhook and turns Szczawinski into the cage. Thistlewhite is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Szczawinski gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ignatius Thistlewhite. That's going to take a lot out of him. A low kick from Siu is predictable there and Szczawinski counters with a nice low kick that buckles Siu's knee momentarily. Siu misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Siu fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Szczawinski has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Main Event in the buildup to the fight. Szczawinski tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Siu defends well and Szczawinski ends up having to push Siu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Szczawinski appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Jarzyna throws a sloppy head kick and Szczawinski moves out of range easily. Jarzyna throws a lazy body kick and Szczawinski makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Jarzyna really felt that one! Jarzyna pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Szczawinski wants to land a leg kick but Jarzyna is out of range. Jarzyna moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.#TD2# Szczawinski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jarzyna napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jarzyna wants to get back to his feet but Szczawinski is dominant here and he's now got Jarzyna's back! Wooooo!
