Walsh throws a big counter combination but Olivio scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Walsh avoids the head kick by Olivio.
Walsh thinks about countering with a head kick.#TD2# Olivio drives through with a takedown into guard. Walsh utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Walsh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Olivio postures up.

#REVR# The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Walsh's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Walsh postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Walsh wants to stand but Olivio has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Walsh working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Walsh landing some decent shots from guard. This has been an exciting period of action! The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Olivio connects with a nice short shot to Walsh's temple. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Walsh is pressing down on Olivio's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Olivio trying to control the position from guard on top but Walsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Olivio lands a couple of elbows.

The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.#TD2# Olivio closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rodriguez to the mat! Rodriguez manages to get full guard. #ES# Rodriguez has his feet on Olivio's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.#TD2# Olivio drives through with a takedown into Rodriguez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Rodriguez keeping moving, preventing Olivio from controlling successfully. Rodriguez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Rodriguez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Olivio on the ground. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Olivio controls the position. Olivio is looking to take a break and control but Rodriguez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rodriguez is pushing Olivio's head away, looking to escape. Olivio manages to hold on to the position though. Rodriguez trying his best to control but Olivio has mounted him.
