Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Dumba Diame and Jack Hall. Jack Hall told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Dumba Diame! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Jack Hall! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Hall defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diame. Diame looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Hall looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Diame (0) vs (2) Hall Diame is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at True North Fight Team, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Hall is looking for a kimura here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hall wants to work for an arm triangle but Diame is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Diame is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hall drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Diame dives on top into guard. Diame is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Hall to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Hall keeping moving, preventing Diame from controlling successfully. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Hall holds on and takes a little breather. Diame wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving. Diame tries to free his leg and advance position but Hall is retaining full guard. Diame won't allow Hall to sweep him here. Hall is trying to stick to Diame's back but Diame is turning into Hall. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hall's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Diame. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Diame (10) vs (6) Hall Hall keeping moving, preventing Diame from controlling successfully. Diame wants to pass the guard but Hall is keeping the position. Hall wants to sweep here but Diame controlling him for the moment. Diame is pushing down on Hall's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hall is fighting to maintain full guard but Diame has managed to sneak the leg through. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Shinobu Yoshimitsu and Jack Hall. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 1 losses; Shinobu Yoshimitsu! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Jack Hall! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Yoshimitsu keeps the fight on the outside. Yoshimitsu attempts a counter takedown but Hall avoids it well and moves away. Hall gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yoshimitsu counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Yoshimitsu (2) vs (0) Hall Yoshimitsu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Yoshimitsu jumps back into Hall's guard. Yoshimitsu won't allow Hall to sweep him here. Yoshimitsu is sitting in close to Hall's body. Hall has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Yoshimitsu is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Yoshimitsu is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hall.

Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Jack Hall and Himmy Heen. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Himmy Heen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Jack Hall! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Himmy Heen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Hall fails with an attempt to clinch.
Horrible takedown attempt by Heen or perhaps it was just good defense by Hall, which made it look bad. Hall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Hall (4) vs (0) Heen Heen is looking to reverse the position. Hall tries for a kimura but Heen is defending well. Hall wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Heen, who protects the arm well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hall goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Heen has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hall but great work by Heen.
