and Knowles decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jay's guard.
Knowles is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Knowles postures up in Jay's guard and throws a big left but Jay blocks it.
Jay wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Knowles manages to pass to side control.
Jay looks like he's trying to stand up.

Knowles's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jay lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Knowles circles away quickly and effectively.

Jay pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Knowles back to the cage. Jay follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jay throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knowles's waist but Knowles gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jay off to one side.

Jay turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Knowles off and cradles Jay's limp body as Knowles celebrates with his corner.

Blackwell drives through with a takedown into Jay's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Jay wants to get back to his feet but Blackwell passes into half guard.
Jay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blackwell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.#REVB##SUB#

Blackwell is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jay is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jay flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Blackwell anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jay and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Blackwell slips an arm under Jay chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Blackwell has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Blackwell is squeezing on Jay like an anaconda would it's prey. Jay fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
