#R1# Donk. Striker Deux catches Nelson right on the button with a cross. Island Striker Deux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Striker Deux throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nelson. Striker Deux punishes Nelson's body with a nice straight punch. Nelson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Striker Deux misses the jab. Nelson closes the distance and clinches up with Striker Deux, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes Striker Deux against the cage but Striker Deux circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Striker Deux swings and misses with a shot to the body and Nelson counters with a right hand to the body. Striker Deux blocks a head kick by Nelson.
Nelson looks winded! Nelson thows a body kick. Striker Deux tries to catch it but that hurt him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Striker Deux fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nelson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Striker Deux is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nelson. Striker Deux misses with a few strikes there.
Nelson throws a counter combo.#T1# Striker Deux throws a lazy right hand but Nelson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Nelson throws out a counter right but Striker Deux avoids it with no problem. Striker Deux jabbing away but nothing is landing. As Striker Deux backs off Nelson throws a huge counter combo but Striker Deux manages to avoid it all. Nelson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Striker Deux misses with a hook. Nelson ducked under it nicely. Nelson lands with a nice combination. Striker Deux backs away looking to recover. Striker Deux slips a straight right by Nelson. Striker Deux misses with a hook. Nelson ducked under it nicely. Nelson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. A looping hook to the body misses from Striker Deux. Nelson does a little dance to reset his feet. Nelson moves away from the strike by Striker Deux. #CL# Striker Deux takes the fight into the clinch. Striker Deux lands a nice shot to the body. #T2# Striker Deux pushes Nelson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A nice left hand lands by Striker Deux.
Striker Deux lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Nelson backwards. Striker Deux lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A short right hand to the side of the head by Striker Deux. Striker Deux lands a body punch in the clinch. Striker Deux lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Striker Deux scores with an uppercut up the middle. Good body shot from Striker Deux.

Still in the clinch, Striker Deux scores with a nice short uppercut. Striker Deux looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Striker Deux lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. #ROC# Nelson is rocked! Striker Deux lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Nelson is still on wobbly legs! Can Striker Deux finish him? Striker Deux pushes Nelson against the cage and as Nelson bounces back, Striker Deux cracks him with a massive overhand right that sends him crashing to the mat! Striker Deux follows up with more strikes but Nelson was out from that first, devastating punch! Wow!

#R1# Nelson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
No luck for Nelson with that takedown attempt. Hood throwing a counter right hand but Nelson manages to avoid it. Hood dodges the punch combination from Nelson.
Nelson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Hood is looking to counter punch. Hood dives in and grabs Nelson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes down on Hood's head and hops out. As Hood backs off Nelson throws a huge counter combo but Hood manages to avoid it all. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hood. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nelson misses with a wild combination.
#T1# Nelson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hood circles away. Hood shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bo Hood. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nelson throws a right and a left that both miss. Hood could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#CL# Hood clinches up with Nelson and pushes him back against the cage. Hood jumps guard but Nelson stands there with Hood around his waist. Hood gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

#BC2# Nelson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Hood shoots in and drives through. Nelson sprawls well. Nelson is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Nelson throws a right and a left that Hood avoids nicely. Nelson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A jab lands there for Nelson. Hood throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nelson's waist but Nelson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hood off to one side. Nelson unleashes a big counter combination but Hood bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Nelson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Nelson. Hood fails with a takedown attempt from distance.#TD2# Nelson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hood wants to get back to full guard but Nelson has passed into side control.#T1# Nelson is looking to take a break and control but Hood is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nelson is working Hood over with some ground and pound from side control. Nelson in side control, just content to control the action for now. #SU2# Nelson stands up and we're back to a striking position. #T2# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hood fails in his attempt to clinch. Nelson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hood circles away quickly and effectively. Nelson lands with a nice body punch. Hood tries to clinch but Nelson moves out of range. Nelson throws a right and a left that Hood avoids nicely. Nelson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hood shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nelson sprawls well. Nelson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hood gets slowly back to his feet. Hood leaves Nelson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Nelson misses with a few strikes there.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Nelson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Nelson is trying to force a seperation but Hood has the dominant position. Nelson is trying to break the clinch but Hood is controlling him. Nelson wants to break free but Hood has control.
#TD# Hood jumps into guard, dragging Nelson to the mat.
Nelson engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Hood is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but Hood is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Don Nelson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Bo Hood's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round! #R3# Nelson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hood if he has to take too many more of those.

Hood tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Hood doesn't manage to clinch there - Nelson circles away.

He catches Nelson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Nelson wants to get back to his feet but Hood is dominant here and he's now got Nelson's back! This has been an exciting period of action! Nelson trying to control but not successfully. Nelson has been the more effective fighter overall so far.#T3##SUB# Hood is looking for the choke from the back position but Nelson is controlling his hands well. Nelson tries to escape the position.

Both fighters are looking very determined. Hood trying to control.#T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Nelson trying to control the action but Hood just sinks the hooks in. Nelson covering up well and avoiding damage. Hood softening up his opponent with strikes here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nelson is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Bo Hood has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Don Nelson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Nelson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
