#R1# Petteri tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. #CL2# Petteri darts in and clinches Whitaker up against the cage. A hook to the body from Whitaker.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.#BC# Whitaker manages to break the clinch.
Whitaker could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.#CL# Whitaker pushes Petteri up against the cage in a clinch. Whitaker prevents Petteri from breaking the clinch.#BC# Whitaker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#CL# Whitaker moves into the clinch. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#BC# Whitaker breaks from the clinch.
#CL2# Petteri rushes Whitaker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.#BC2# Petteri manages to break the clinch.
#T1##CL2# Petteri rushes Whitaker and presses him up against the cage. Petteri wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.#TD# Whitaker jumps guard.
Whitaker has Petteri pulled in close to control his posture. Whitaker bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Petteri's guard. #REVR# Whitaker controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. #SUB# Whitaker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Whitaker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Petteri wants to stand but Whitaker is controlling the position. Whitaker controlling from the top position. #T2# Whitaker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Whitaker stops Petteri from standing up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Whitaker sitting in guard here, content to control. Whitaker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.#T3# Whitaker continues to stall.#REF3# The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hurja Petteri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.#CL2# Petteri clinches up with Whitaker and pushes him back against the cage. A battle for position here, against the cage. Petteri wants to break the clinch but can't.
#BC# Whitaker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#CL# Whitaker forces Petteri back against the cage and clinches.#T4##BC2# Petteri pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. A thudding body kick lands there by Petteri!
Whitaker misses with a body shot.
#CL2# Petteri closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Petteri tries to break the clinch but Whitaker is controlling the position. #BC2# Petteri breaks from the clinch.
#CL2# Petteri clinches. Petteri is trying to push Whitaker away but Whitaker has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.#BC2# Petteri escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick by Whitaker misses #KD2# and Petteri counters with a crisp one two that drops Whitaker! Petteri thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Whitaker to his feet! Whitaker is in big trouble! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Petteri misses with a head kick.
Petteri feints a jab and as Whitaker dips his head, Petteri unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Whitaker right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Whitaker falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Petteri smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Hurja Petteri!

#R1# Petteri throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.#CL2# Petteri has closed the distance and engaged Sims in a clinch.
Sims is trying to pull guard but Petteri has him pressed against the cage. Petteri wants to break the clinch but can't.
#BC# Sims breaks from the clinch.
Sims throws a head kick that misses. #CL2# The fight moves into the clinch position. Come on Sims - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Petteri wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sims has him pressed against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sims avoiding damage as Petteri throws knees to the body.
#BC2# Petteri breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
#CL# Sims has Petteri up against the cage in a clinch.
Sims really is a fat lump. Petteri using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sims has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
#T1##BC# Sims escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Petteri scores with a spinning back kick! Petteri fails with an attempt to clinch.
It looked like Sims wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Petteri is looking to clinch but Sims is avoiding it.
Sims throws a big counter combination but Petteri scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Petteri misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
#KD2# Petteri lands a big head kick that sends Sims tumbling to the mat! Petteri takes a step backwards and waves Sims back to his feet - he wants the finish!#CUT2# It looks like Dong Sims has been cut. Petteri avoids the head kick by Sims.
A head kick by Petteri - that's a beauty! Sims is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Petteri can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
