Asisco is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Asisco knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground. Asisco wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position. Jackson content to stall in guard here. #SUB# Asisco is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jackson stopping the sweep attempt from Asisco.#T1# Jackson is standing up over Asisco. Asisco looks to escape but Jackson dives into side control.
#SUB2# Jackson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Jackson working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Jackson cracks Asisco with a big elbow. Jackson is putting a hurting on Asisco here, landing some big shots from side control. Asisco is trying to work for a sweep but Jackson has mounted him! Asisco tries to lock up and control but Jackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.#T2# Jackson with the ground and pound from mount. Asisco tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control. Jackson lands a heavy elbow. Asisco really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Jackson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jackson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Asisco hang on?#T3# Jackson breaks from Asisco's wrist control and lands an elbow. Jackson working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jackson scoring with strikes but Asisco is staying in there. Jackson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Jackson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
#SUB2# Asisco tries to improve his position but Jackson has taken his back! Jackson has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Asisco tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Jackson pushes Asisco away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
