#R1# Thompson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Po circles away quickly and effectively. Po fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Thompson looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.#TD2# Po looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Thompson controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Thompson wants to get back to full guard but Po has mounted him! Thompson tries to lock up and control but Po gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Thompson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Po on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Thompson holds on for dear life. Thompson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thompson tries to get out of the position. Po with a couple of short strikes. Thompson working to try and regain half guard.

#R1# Po throws a hook to the side of Smith's head but Smith sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Smith misses with a body shot
#CL2# and Po counters by clinching up. Smith lands a shoulder strike. Smith swings wildly with an uppercut but Po uses good head movement to avoid it. #BC2# Po's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.#TD2# Po feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Po trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Po has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Po controlling from the top position. Po in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith wants to stand but Po is controlling the position. #T1# Smith can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Po controls the pace. Po keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Smith's head. Po passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Po content to control rather than advance. #T2# A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Po seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Po is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Po keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Po not landing any meaningful shots this time. Po works his foot free and advances to mount. #T3# Po controlling from mount. Smith keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Po content just to control the position here. #T4# The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Po's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Smith is looking to improve his position but Po isn't that keen on the idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tong Po dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! #R2# Po tries to clinch but fails miserably and Smith counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Smith throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Smith moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Po throws a series of strikes that have Smith backpedaling.
#CUT2# It looks like Steve Smith has been cut. Tong Po is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.#TD2# Po is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smith's half guard.#SU2# Po postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Smith to stand up. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#TD2# Po gets the takedown into side control. Smith seems a little lost for a moment, as Po dominates the positioning. Po advances nicely into full mount. #T1##SUB2# Po has isolated one of Smith's arms. Smith looking to fight him off but Po twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!

Po wants to control from the top but Ippolito keeps moving. Po wants to pass the guard but Ippolito is keeping the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Po trying to control but Ippolito is working from the bottom. Ippolito looking to hit a scissor sweep but Po is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB# Ippolito working for a triangle but Po defends it easily.
