Mao blocking the ground and pound attempt from Zakherenkoff. Mao tries to get to full guard but Zakherenkoff has control of the leg. Zakherenkoff wants to pass to mount but Mao is defending the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zakherenkoff not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mao keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Zakherenkoff thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. #T1# Zakherenkoff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mao keeps working. Vladimir Zakherenkoff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Zakherenkoff wants to take a breather but Mao manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Zakherenkoff. Mao is working the butterfly guard. and Mao comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Zakherenkoff stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Mao is on him like rabid pit bull! Zakherenkoff slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cai Mao! In his post fight interview, Cai Mao started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.

Zakherenkoff tries to bum rush Tea with a series of wild strikes but Tea uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Zakherenkoff bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.#CUT# It looks like Ice Tea has been cut. Zakherenkoff throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tea on the side of the head. Zakherenkoff throws a shot to the body.
Zakherenkoff thuds his right hand into Tea's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Tea fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jab, jab by Zakherenkoff - just one landing. Zakherenkoff has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crapollas Gym in the buildup to the fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tea tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Zakherenkoff defends well and Tea ends up having to push Zakherenkoff into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. He's out on his feet! Zakherenkoff lands another huge swinging hook and Tea tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Tea, before Zakherenkoff can land any more shots!

Pripyat looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Pripyat tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Zakherenkoff swivels and escapes. Vladimir Zakherenkoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Karelin Pripyat. Pripyat dives in for a single leg takedown but Zakherenkoff sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. The fighters circle momentarily. Zakherenkoff darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Zakherenkoff connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.#CUT# It looks like Karelin Pripyat has been cut. Zakherenkoff has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Pripyat shoots in but no luck this time. Zakherenkoff wants to land a leg kick but Lang is out of range. It looked like Lang was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Zakherenkoff. Zakherenkoff throws a low kick but it's checked well by Lang.#CL2# Zakherenkoff has taken the fight to the clinch.
