Reese not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Reese working a defensive guard but Pace passes into half guard.
Reese wants to control but Pace is keeping busy.
Pace blocks the strikes from Reese.
Reese is trying to stand.
Pace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reese tries to get to full guard but Pace has control of the leg. Reese trying to control from the bottom.
#T1# Reese wants to control the action here but instead Pace manages to pass to full mount! Reese is looking to improve his position but Pace isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Reese throwing hammer fists to the chest of Pace. What's that going to do exactly? Reese tries to hold on but Pace postures up. Pace in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Pace raining down shots from the mount! Reese really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. A nice elbow there by Pace. Reese can't escape the position.
#T2# Reese tries to lock up and control but Pace gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Reese is looking to get to half guard. Pace controlling his opponent. Pace connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Pace punishing his opponent with strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reese manages to regain half guard. Good work. Reese is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pace's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pace's back!#T3# Reese connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Pace to escape the position.
Pace tries to roll but Reese sticks to his back.
Reese tries to keep control of the position but Pace is staying busy. Reese wants to control the position but Pace frees himself and scrambles - Reese manages to regain control in side control.

Pace makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pace. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Reese sitting in guard here, content to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pace has a takedown stuffed. Reese lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reese shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pace throws a quick counter head kick but Reese was just out of range. Pace takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Willard Pace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Reese.#BC2# Reese breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Reese swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
#TD# and Pace counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Reese is trying to escape back to his feet but Pace uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Reese is breathing heavily. Reese tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Pace easily slips into full mount! Pace lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Reese hang on? Pace prevents Reese from getting the reversal.#T2# BOOM! Pace connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pace with a couple of short strikes. Reese's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Pace postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Reese looks a forlorn figure.
Reese is looking to get to half guard.#T3# Pace wants to control the pace but Reese is squirming around nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pace looking to control and managing it successfully. Pace postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Reese looks a forlorn figure.
Reese wants to control but Pace is having none of it.#T4# A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Reese is trying desperately to improve position. Reese is still trying to improve position. Pace is landing with some decent strikes but Reese is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pace lands with some strikes. Pace with shots to the head and body - Reese looks very uncomfortable down there. A nice elbow there by Pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Willard Pace dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round! #R3# Pace has a takedown stuffed. Reese feints the counter takedown. Reese comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Reese lands with a nice combination. Pace backs away looking to recover. Pace closes the distance and clinches up with Reese, looking for a takedown. Pace pushes Reese against the cage but Reese circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Reese let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Reese shoots in and drives through. Pace sprawls well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pace goes for a double leg but Reese avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Reese continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willard Pace. That's going to take a lot out of him. Reese misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pace works over Reese with some ground and pound from guard. Pace with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Pace lands a couple of digs. Willard Pace overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pace sitting in guard, not really doing much. Pace lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.#T2# Hammerfist, elbow! yells Pace's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Pace throws a big elbow that misses. Reese looking to control but Pace passes into half guard.

Pace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pace sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. #T3# Reese tries to hold on but Pace postures up. Reese is trying desperately to improve position. Reese takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pace unloading with bombs!#T4# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pace punishing his opponent with strikes. Pace scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Reese?

Reese is squirming around, avoiding Pace's attempts to control the action. Reese keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pace can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Reese is looking to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! Willard Pace showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
