#R1##TD2# Marcos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Marcos trying to mount his opponent but Potter defends it. Potter tries to get to full guard but Marcos has control of the leg. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Marcos connects with a nice short shot to Potter's temple. Marcos perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Marcos wants to pass the guard but Potter is defending well. Marcos content to control rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# Marcos thows a huge punch but Potter dodges it nicely.
Potter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Marcos on the ground. Marcos looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Potter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Marcos sitting and controlling from the half guard. Potter missing with punches from the bottom.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Marcos working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Marcos lands a big shot there that rocks Potter but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Potter tries to bum rush Marcos with a series of wild strikes but Marcos uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!#TD2# Marcos dives in and scores a takedown into Potter's guard. Cyrus Potter has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jefferson Marcos is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Marcos looking to sit in guard and control but Potter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. #REVR#

#R1# Potter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mulver digs a good body shot into Potter's ribs. Mulver throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Potter stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Potter is breathing heavily. Mulver lands a brutal uppercut that launches Potter off his feet! Potter tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

#R1# Potter shoots and misses #CL2# and Tremor counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Tremor. Tremor throws a knee to the head but misses.
Tremor is struggling to control the position.#BC2# Tremor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A low kick from Tremor is predictable there and Potter makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Tremor really felt that one! Tremor misses with an attempted mid kick.
Tremor scores with a push kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tremor throws a head kick but Potter moves out of range.
Potter appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick. Kiko Tremor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tremor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Potter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Potter is breathing heavily. Potter chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tremor can pounce on him.
Potter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tremor's waist but Tremor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Potter off to one side. #T1# Tremor misses with a head kick.

Tremor attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Potter is looking to counter the offense by Tremor and move into the clinch. A slapping body kick lands there for Tremor. Tremor is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Tremor throws a low kick but it's checked well by Potter. Tremor throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Potter half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Tremor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Potter moves out of range of the body kick. An attempted straight right counter from Potter misses the target. Tremor throws a leg kick that misses. An attempted straight right counter from Potter misses the target.#T2# Tremor throws a solid leg kick but Potter takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Tremor. Tremor walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Potter checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Potter appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Tremor misses with an attempted mid kick.
Kiko Tremor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Potter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tremor counters with a two punch combo. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cyrus Potter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Tremor. Potter attempts a counter takedown but Tremor avoids it well and moves away. Tremor throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Tremor! Potter is out on his feet! Tremor rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Potter is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Potter is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Not really close to a finish though. Potter is trying to control Reed's posture but Reed avoids it. The strikes coming from Reed are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Reed cracks Potter with a big elbow. Reed scoring with punches from side control. #CUT2# It looks like Cyrus Potter has been cut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reed misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
