Persico works the jab nicely.
Persico avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Cortez tries a low kick but Persico avoids it.
Persico swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Persico's corner calls for a 1-2. Persico obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Persico fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Cortez to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Cortez looks to clinch but Persico throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Cortez taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Persico swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cortez.
Cortez throws a series of punches but Persico avoids them all with ease.
Cortez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Persico finds it's way round the side to connect with Cortez's head.

Persico throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cortez tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Persico manages to circle out of the way.

Cortez lands a left and a right that send Van Kersten crashing to the mat, dazed. Cortez thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!#ROC2#

It looks like Brett Van Kersten has been cut.
Cortez misses with a two punch combination.
Oh Van Kersten is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cortez dances in with a quick combination. Van Kersten is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Cortez snaps Van Kersten's head back. Van Kersten stumbles backwards against the cage. Cortez steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Van Kersten's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Van Kersten just didn't come prepared.
