Let's see what he can do from the top position. Rydell wants to control from the top but Michigawa keeps moving. Michigawa being controlled here, momentarily. Rydell throws a strike but Michigawa rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. #REVR# Michigawa is stalling in the full guard. Michigawa is in close to Rydell's body, working some short punches and elbows. Our spies down at at Rio Rough House inform us that Rydell has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Michigawa wants to hit a switch here but Valverde passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Michigawa there! #SUB# Valverde looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valverde trying to control but he's not successful this time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valverde looking to finish with strikes here!

Fiana tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Michigawa swivels and escapes.#CL2# Michigawa moves into range and clinches up with Fiana. Fiana goes for a takedown in the clinch but Michigawa prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Felix Fiana. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fiana is trying to drag Michigawa to the mat but Michigawa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Fiana is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fiana is defending well against a takedown attempt. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Michigawa takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. #T1# Michigawa has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Fiana after a bit of a struggle. #R1# Silva scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Silva misses the shot to the body. Silva lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Silva pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Michigawa back to the cage. Silva follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Silva with a jab. Silva tries for a takedown but Michigawa circles away easily and Michigawa counters with a stiff right hand. Michigawa takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Michigawa dives in for a single leg takedown but Silva sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Michigawa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Adriano Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Michigawa.#T1# Michigawa paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Silva connects nicely with a jab. Pase is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Michigawa is keeping busy. Pase taking a breather. Pase tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Pase softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Michigawa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pase is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Michigawa blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
