#SUB2# Reid thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#SUB2# Reid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Reid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. #T1# Reid forces his way into half guard. Reid controlling the action here. Monk is in trouble now - Reid has advanced to mount! #SUB2# Monk has left one of his arms exposed and Reid doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Monk screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Monk looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Atkinson leaves Monk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Atkinson! But no joy. Monk misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Atkinson throws a quick inside leg kick. #R1##TD2# A momentary lapse in concentration from Monk enables St Pierre to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Monk manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. St Pierre works over Monk with some ground and pound from guard. Monk keeping moving, preventing St Pierre from controlling successfully. St Pierre sitting in guard, not really doing much. St Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but Monk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Pierre throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Pierre is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Monk preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. St Pierre has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.#T1# Monk utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. St Pierre seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. St Pierre scoring with some ground and pound. Monk lands on the inside with an uppercut. A short right from Monk on the inside. Lucznik is working for takedown but Monk is calmly controlling the position for now. Monk lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Lucznik. Monk avoiding damage.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lukasz Lucznik. That's going to take a lot out of him. Monk scores with a nice hook to the head.#ROC2# Lucznik is rocked! Monk creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Lucznik with a big uppercut! Lucznik tries to clinch up but Monk pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Lucznik to the mat! Lucznik covers up and Monk unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

#R1# Monk lands a head shot. Sandoval's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Monk connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Sandoval scrambles back to his feet. Sandoval walks into a left hand. #TD# Sandoval manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Monk on his heels. He'll look to pass Monk's guard now, I'm sure. Monk looking to control.
Sandoval engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.#T1# The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.#SUB# Sandoval drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sandoval jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Sandoval is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.#T2# Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Monk has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Sandoval with a flurry of punches that miss. #REF3# The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Monk throws a jab when Sandoval was well out of range. Sandoval gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting Monk counter with a right hand. Jab by Monk. Monk scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. #TD# Sandoval shoots in and gets a takedown into Monk's guard.#SUB# Sandoval is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. #T3# Sandoval postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sandoval advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Monk's face as Sandoval controls the position. #SUB# Sandoval is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Monk is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. #SUB# Sandoval wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Monk, who protects the arm well. #T4# Sandoval controlling from side mount. Monk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sandoval. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Edwin Sandoval will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! #R2# Sandoval shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Monk as he jumps to the side. #TD# Sandoval gets the takedown into side control. Sandoval cracks Monk with a big elbow. #SUB# Sandoval has hold of Monk's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Monk seems comfortable defending it but Sandoval has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Monk is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Monk is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sandoval couldn't care less - he's delighted!

#R1# Sandoval shoots for a double leg takedown but Monk sprawls well. He's pushed Sandoval's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Monk thuds his right hand into Sandoval's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.#CUT2# It looks like Edwin Sandoval has been cut. Sandoval misses with a takedown attempt and Monk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sandoval shoots and misses and Monk counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edwin Sandoval. That's going to take a lot out of him. and Monk counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Sandoval! He's just covering up as Monk starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

McGreggor looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. McGreggor fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. McGreggor has his takedown stuffed and Monk cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.#CUT2# It looks like Manuel McGreggor has been cut. Monk smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Monk looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. McGreggor fakes the leg kick and cracks Monk in the body. Monk scores with a hook to the body. McGreggor takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGreggor tries to clinch but fails miserably #KD2# and Monk counters with a nice right hand that sends McGreggor toppling to the canvas! McGreggor scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Monk finish him?! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McGreggor with a lazy takedown attempt and Monk counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Monk lands a shoulder strike. Mac tries to pull guard but Monk won't allow it.
