#R1# Berg lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kushida at a distance.
Kushida throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've been told by Berg's head coaches at Valhalla Training Camp that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Jab by Berg. Berg with a hook.#ROC# Kushida is rocked! Berg cracks Kushida with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Kushida tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Berg pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Kushida is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bunda Berg! An out of breath Bunda Berg thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.

#R1# Berg throws out a powerful jab. Do Cu looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Berg cracks Do Cu with an open hand slap.#ROC2# Do Cu is rocked! Berg fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Do Cu out cold! Brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Bunda Berg! During a confident post fight interview, Bunda Berg thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.

#R1# Berg scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kiyasu blocks a jab. Kiyasu lands a high kick!
Kiyasu drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Kiyasu tries a head kick but it misses.
Kiyasu takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Berg scores with a jab to the jaw.#ROC2# Kiyasu is rocked!#CUT2# It looks like Kohei Kiyasu has been cut. Kiyasu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Berg scores with a body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!#TD# Kiyasu closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Berg did well to prevent Kiyasu getting side control. Berg is trying to maintain the position but Kiyasu is very close to passing his half guard.#SUB# Kiyasu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Berg trying to control but Kiyasu postures up.
#T1# Berg has his hands clasped together around Kiyasu's back. He's all about the action. Kiyasu thows a huge punch but Berg dodges it nicely.
Kiyasu is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Berg is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kiyasu landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. #SUB# Kiyasu is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Berg sees it coming and defends easily. Berg tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Kiyasu has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Berg tries to hold on but Kiyasu pushes him away. #T2# Berg is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kiyasu is staying active. Kiyasu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kiyasu lands a nice shot to the head. Kiyasu landing strikes from the mount. Kiyasu lands a heavy elbow. Berg is wriggling around trying to escape.
Berg keeps trying to improve his position. Kiyasu has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Berg's face.
Berg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kiyasu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This has been an exciting period of action! Berg is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Berg wants to control but Kiyasu is having none of it.#SUB# Kiyasu wants to finish this one by submission but Berg is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Kiyasu. #T3# Berg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Berg can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.#SU# Kiyasu stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Berg fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Berg throws a shot to the body.
Bunda Berg is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A head kick by Kiyasu misses and Berg counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Kiyasu is breathing heavily. Nice uppercut there from Berg. Berg avoids the head kick by Kiyasu.
The fighters circling - Kiyasu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Berg avoids a punch combination nicely.
#T4# Kiyasu on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. A swing and a miss from Kiyasu. Berg ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Berg ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kiyasu takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Kiyasu on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Berg dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Berg lunges at Kiyasu with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kiyasu's hand. Oh Kiyasu is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Berg ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Kiyasu seems to have got his legs back now.#KD2# Berg lands a big uppercut and Kiyasu crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kiyasu looks OK. Berg waves Kiyasu back to his feet! The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Berg walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Kiyasu drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Berg swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Kiyasu's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
